I have just started a mailing list for anyone interested in the contents of the cat pages on this site.

Our moggies are missing out because we don't walk them but most cats enjoy walkies as much as any dog. It struck me that the few people who have used the contact button about walking their cats could usefully enjoy chatting with each other and sharing anecdotes and experiences.

There's lots to talk about. A few possible examples:

• How do your cat and dog get on together?
• What behaviour differences are there when walking different breeds of cat? Certainly not all dog breeds behave similarly when on walks.
• Cat friendly walks. I'm writing up some of the nice walks on the www site. A nice walk for a cat is a dog friendly walk (but not the other way round) and a nice walk in its own right.
• Cat friendly holidays: most will be dog friendly too, but there are lots of places that rightly don't treat cats as if they were dogs!
• Anecdotes: what happened to you and your cat while on a walk or on holiday?

Clearly the mailing list could also be useful to dog owners.
