Phil is an amazing 82-year-young, an analytical chemist until he retired 20 years ago. Now he wonders how he found time to work!

To keep his brain from going rusty after retiring, he did an Open University degree in Geology. Then he renewed his interest in computers.

Phil and his wife moved to Kendal ten years ago, but as she has a heart problem, he is reluctant to do much travelling.
