Notes on the families.
Bob Stiles in an email says
I am researching the family of Henery Hegerty, my ggg-grandfather. In
his Bible, he has written his birth date as May 1782, townland of
Movenis, Parish of Desertoghil, Co Londonderry. Wife Pegey,(no maiden
name given) born April 1786. Children John 1801, James 1812, Medney
1814, Margret 1820, Elisabeth 1822, Serah 1826, Henery 1829. I know
that my gg-grandfather, James Haggerty, came to Canada in the early
1830's. He married Sarah Jane Quinn in 1834. John Haggerty came to
Canada after James, and the rest of the family was here by the 1840's.
I have been able to track many of the Haggerty descendents here in
Canada, but I am hoping to learn more about their life and relatives in
Ireland.
